CFD Simulation Engineer
Job Responsibilities
The candidate should have in-depth knowledge about fluid mechanics, applied aerodynamics, thermodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and flight mechanics.
Familiar with geometry clean-up.
Perform grid-independent study.
The candidate is responsible for carrying out and generating complete aerodynamic data characterization for a full-scale airborne configuration.
Perform steady-level and accelerated flight performance using CFD data.
Perform trajectory analysis of high-speed airborne configuration.
The candidate is responsible for preparing technical reports and presentations of the simulation results.
Setting up a CFD problem using correct boundary conditions according to the problem type and expertise in running CFD jobs on HPC and local workstations.
Support and participation in internal and external professional networks.
Skill Sets
Hands-on experience in grid generation commercial tools like ICEM CFD/fluent meshing.
Hands-on experience in commercial and open-source CFD tools.
Hands-on experience in CFD post-processing tools like paraview/tecplot/Ensight.
Scripting and automation using Python/MATLAB/C++.
Technical report writing.
Simulations
- External and internal aerodynamics, steady and unsteady CFD simulations.
Qualification Requirements
- BE/BTech from a recognized university with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- ME/MTech from a recognized university with 1-2 years of relevant experience (Preferred).
